How do Led Printers Work?
It starts just the way Laser Printers do; firstly, the photoreceptive drum of the printer charges with static electricity via a high voltage wire. After that, a strip of LEDs placed right above or below the drum creates negative fixed charges. The light from the LEDs then hits the positively charged drum to erase the charges where it lands.
Moreover, the positively charged printer toner gets dispersed onto the photoreceptive drum by attaching where the LEDs create negative charges. When a paper is inserted into the printer, it gets positively charged by a different high voltage wire. As the paper reaches the printing drum, it drags the toner from the negatively charged parts wherever it has held.
Lastly, the paper gets through the two heated rollers, known as fusers, for melting the toner to the paper and results in the output.
